Stonehaven Transactions Advises Norbrook on £100 million Divestment of Global Methimazole Franchise to Virbac
Stonehaven Transactions, a specialist advisory firm dedicated to M&A and other transactions in the animal health sector, is pleased to announce that it served as transactions adviser to Norbrook Laboratories on the divestment of its global methimazole business for the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism to Virbac.
The transaction includes Norbrook’s worldwide methimazole portfolio, a leading and trusted solution in the management of feline hyperthyroidism with a strong clinical track record and loyal veterinary customer base.
Beatrice Vos, Partner at Stonehaven Transactions, commented:
“We are honored to have worked alongside Norbrook on this strategically important transaction. Methimazole is an excellent product with significant potential, and Virbac is ideally positioned - through its global commercial footprint, strong relationships with veterinarians, and proven expertise in companion animal pharmaceuticals - to further grow and develop the franchise.”
Matthias Hofer, CEO Stonehaven Cozmix Group, added:
“This transaction reflects the continued consolidation and innovation we see across the animal health industry. We are proud to have advised Norbrook and to have contributed to a successful outcome for both parties.”
