Zoetis has named James Saccaro as executive vice-president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, in a newly created post that will combine oversight of the animal-health group’s finance and manufacturing functions.
According to the company, Mr Saccaro will take up the role on 17 August 2026. Wetteny Joseph will move into an advisory position on the same date and is expected to remain as special adviser to chief executive Kristin Peck on financial matters until early 2027.
The appointment comes as Zoetis seeks to reinforce capital allocation, reporting and investor relations while also tightening operational performance across global manufacturing and supply. The company said Mr Saccaro will help steer financial strategy and controls alongside responsibility for supply-chain execution.
Mr Saccaro joins from GE HealthCare, where he was vice-president and chief financial officer. Before that, he spent more than 20 years at Baxter International, including eight years as chief financial officer, and also held senior finance roles at Hill-Rom and earlier at Baxter.
Ms Peck said he brings experience in balancing research investment with operational discipline. Mr Saccaro said he was joining a business with a strong innovation pipeline and scope for further growth.
