VetosEurope, a Lugano-based agritech group, receives four awards from World Business Outlook for pioneering methane reduction that boosts livestock productivity and sustainability.

VetosEurope, the Lugano-based agritech group, has picked up four awards from World Business Outlook in recognition of its work on methane reduction and livestock productivity.

The company was named winner of Best AgriTech Innovation & Climate Impact Innovation Award Europe 2026, Most Sustainable Agriculture Solution of the Year Europe 2026, Best Scientific Research & Development Excellence Award Europe 2026 and Outstanding Sustainable Livestock Farming Solution Europe 2026.

At the centre of its pitch is Anavrin, a feed supplement designed to curb methane from ruminants while lifting output. The company says trials at universities including the Universidad de la República in Uruguay and Wageningen University and Research found methane cuts of about 13% to 17.5%, while other tests cited on its website put the reduction at up to 20%. VetosEurope also says the product has been validated by the UK’s Carbon Trust.

According to the company, the supplement can raise meat yield by around 70 grams a day and milk output by 1.5 litres a day.

VetosEurope is also developing a methane reduction project in Uruguay, Italy and Spain under the Verra Verified Carbon Standard, with a grouped structure intended to make carbon-credit participation easier for farmers.

Carloalberto Ghizzoni, the company’s chief executive, said the awards validated its science-led approach. World Business Outlook said VetosEurope stood out for combining research with practical climate impact.
