Wonderdog has launched a membership-based service leveraging at-home blood tests and AI to detect early signs of disease in dogs, aiming to transform preventive veterinary care and enable earlier interventions.

Wonderdog has launched a membership-based preventive health service for dogs built around at-home blood testing and an AI health companion, positioning the product as a way to identify disease before clinical signs emerge. According to the company, a single home visit by a licensed veterinary technician collects blood for a panel of more than 40 biomarkers, with samples processed by Antech and reviewed by a veterinarian before results are delivered through the app within three business days. Wonderdog says the service is designed to give owners and their veterinary teams a longitudinal view of health rather than a one-off snapshot. The company also says it has raised $5 million in pre-seed funding from WndrCo and Maveron.

The platform’s AI layer, Spark, tracks each dog’s baseline alongside history, diet, medication, symptoms and activity, then flags patterns that may merit attention. Wonderdog says the aim is earlier intervention in conditions that can progress silently, including kidney disease and cancer, and that its membership is intended to support more informed decisions between routine visits. The service is currently available in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Los Angeles County, with expansion planned for Phoenix and Miami. Wonderdog’s website says annual membership starts at $249.
