Milton Animal Hospital has launched a specialised feline surgery service in Alpharetta, offering advanced procedures supported by cutting-edge technology and expert care led by Dr Forester Gholston, emphasising communication and trust for local cat owners.

Milton Animal Hospital has opened a feline surgery service in Alpharetta, aiming to give cat owners access to procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to tumour removal, dental and oral surgery, and more complex soft-tissue cases. According to the practice, each case starts with a pre-anaesthetic assessment, including physical examination and lab work, before surgery is carried out with close monitoring and tailored recovery plans.

The hospital says its surgical offering is supported by digital X-rays, in-house laboratory testing and advanced surgical and dental equipment. It also lists AAHA accreditation and the use of laser surgery for selected procedures, which the clinic says can reduce bleeding, swelling and post-operative pain.

Leading the practice is Dr Forester Gholston, the owner and medical director, who says he wants a setting built around communication and trust. Milton Animal Hospital says he grew up around animals in Alpharetta, studied at Berry College and earned his veterinary degree from the University of Georgia, before building 14 years of general practice experience and training in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. The clinic, which opened in February 2026, says it also offers TPLO surgery for cats and dogs, with rehabilitation plans designed to support recovery.
