Shanghai’s trade fairs unite to create comprehensive livestock and pet industry platform in 2026
For the first time, Shanghai will host VIV Select China and Pet Fair Asia concurrently, offering a combined showcase of livestock production, veterinary services, and the pet industry, with thousands of exhibitors and new international pavilions.
Two of Shanghai’s biggest trade fairs will run alongside each other for the first time this August, in a move organisers say will create a broader business platform spanning livestock production, veterinary services and the pet economy.
According to Select China, VIV Select China 2026 will be held from 19 to 21 August at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre, while Pet Fair Asia will run from 19 to 23 August at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Both events are organised by Globus Events.
VIV Select China is expected to bring together more than 500 exhibitors across 50,000 square metres, with a focus on poultry, swine, waterfowl and wider livestock systems. Its offer will cover feed, additives, animal health, biosecurity, equipment and production technologies.
Pet Fair Asia, now in its 28th edition, is positioned as one of the region’s largest pet industry gatherings. Organisers say it will span 320,000 square metres and host more than 2,600 exhibitors, with the show covering pet food, healthcare, grooming, lifestyle products and veterinary equipment.
Pet Fair Asia has also said it will add national pavilions from Australia, Canada and Thailand, while a new VIP B2B day is intended to sharpen the event’s commercial focus. A free shuttle will link the two venues on 20 and 21 August.
