Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital and Equine Care Group establish a long-term partnership aimed at boosting clinical cooperation, research, and education across borders while maintaining local leadership and identity.

Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital has agreed a long-term strategic partnership with Equine Care Group, in a move the organisations say is designed to widen clinical collaboration, research and education across equine medicine while leaving day-to-day veterinary leadership intact.

According to the announcement, Rood & Riddle will keep its name, culture and clinical autonomy, with its current teams continuing to run hospitals in Kentucky, Florida and New York. Equine Care Group, founded in Belgium in 2021, operates as a veterinarian-led network linking hospitals, ambulatory practices, laboratories, fertility centres and research programmes across Europe and the US.

The deal reflects a broader push in specialist veterinary medicine towards international networks that can pool expertise without forcing consolidation. Rood & Riddle’s leadership said the partnership should help its clinicians consult on complex cases, share knowledge and expand professional development, while preserving the local relationships on which its brand has been built since 1986.

Equine Care Group said the tie-up brings together complementary clinical experience and should support advances in patient care, diagnostics, nutrition, prevention and rehabilitation. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals, legal documentation and closing conditions.
