Kemin Industries is developing a $35 million innovation centre in Singapore to enhance its research capabilities and regional presence, supporting advancements in animal nutrition and food technology across Asia-Pacific.

Kemin Industries has begun work on a US$35 million innovation hub at its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore, underlining the US ingredients group’s intent to deepen its regional research and commercial presence.

The four-storey Kuriosity Centre, backed by the Singapore Economic Development Board and JTC Corporation, is designed to bring laboratories, technical teams, business functions and customer-facing staff into one integrated site. Kemin said the facility will support development work in animal nutrition, food technology and adjacent sectors, while improving the speed at which ideas move from research into market-ready applications.

Dr Chris Nelson, the company’s chief executive, said the project builds on nearly four decades in Singapore and reflects the city-state’s role as a regional base for the group. He said the new centre would strengthen collaboration across Asia-Pacific and help Kemin serve customers more effectively.

The building, which will span 5,880 square metres, with a proposed gross floor area of about 9,685 square metres, is expected to house more than 140 employees. A covered bridge will link it to Kemin’s existing campus.

Singapore officials said the investment reinforces the country’s position as a hub for high-value feed and food innovation, as well as a trusted base for multinationals expanding in the region.
