Bimeda USA launches MoxiSolv Pour-On, a bioequivalent and environmentally friendly parasite control option for cattle
United States: Bimeda USA introduces MoxiSolv Pour-On, an FDA-approved, bioequivalent moxidectin antiparasitic with zero-day milk withdrawal, targeting cattle health, efficacy, and environmental sustainability amid rising demand for eco-friendly livestock treatments.
Bimeda USA has added MoxiSolv Pour-On to its cattle antiparasitic range, pitching it as an FDA-approved bioequivalent alternative to Cydectin Pour-On. The launch gives beef and dairy producers another moxidectin option at a time when parasite control is increasingly judged on efficacy, withdrawal periods and environmental impact.
The ready-to-use topical treatment contains 0.5% moxidectin and is sold in 5-litre and 10-litre packs. According to Bimeda, it is cleared for cattle of all ages, including lactating dairy cows, and is designed to control gastrointestinal roundworms, lungworms, cattle grubs, mites, lice and horn flies.
Its commercial appeal lies in flexibility: the company says the product carries a zero-day milk withdrawal and a short pre-slaughter withdrawal time, which could make it easier to fit into dairy and finishing systems than longer-withdrawal pour-ons. Bimeda also highlights a purple dye to aid visible application and says the product is manufactured in the US under strict quality standards.
The firm is also selling moxidectin as a stewardship play. Bimeda says the compound is dung-beetle friendly, a claim that links parasite control to pasture ecology and soil health. Dr Eric Moore, head of technical services for North America, said the product balances efficacy, safety and environmental stewardship while supporting longer-term sustainability goals.
